Video games are starting to become more immersive than ever before, and I feel its only a matter of time until the games of today, start to become movies for tomorrow.
Movie adaptations for games have so far been negative, and haven’t worked very well. But the way games immersive you within the story and actual gameplay in the landscape of today is second to none. In the future, I don’t see how you can argue that games like Anthem or The Last of Us don’t have the capacity and story to become movie adaptations.
It makes you wonder with all the story driven games of today, why hasn’t any been picked up to be turned into movies, instead of the other way around? Let me know what you guys think? Do games have the potential now to become great movies? What games would you love to see as movie? How do you feel this will change in the future?
