It’s reported that Google is thought to be launching a streaming service for games which could be announced next month at the Game Developers Conference (GDC).
In January Google tested its Project Stream initiative with a beta. Users could play Assassin’s Creed Odyssey in Google Chrome, only needing an internet connection and a console controller.
And from the video above, the game doesn’t seem that bad compared to its console counterpart with a decent internet connection.
It also rumored Google has been discussing ‘Project Yeti’ (what the streaming service is rumored to be dubbed) with big game developers to see which games they can court from their respective libraries.
With GDC around the corner, this new streaming service could be anything! So it’s best to wait for confirmation at GDC next month!
Let me know what you guys think? Is Google starting the new wave for gaming in the future? Would you be on board for a concept like this? Would this be able to compete with the traditional consoles currently? Let me know your thoughts
