Before you start creating ads on Pinterest, you need to create a Pinterest business account, which you can do here: business.pinterest.com or login into your personal account and click on the menu on the drop-down arrow in the right-hand corner and add a free business profile (if you haven’t already).
Now you have created your Pinterest business profile. You can now start creating ads on Pinterest. I’ve linked a video on how to do that.
Using Pinterest Tags is also very important as it’ll allow you to track what they do on your website when they engage with your promoted pins. Measure results, and build an audience.
The Pinterest tag is made up of two components:
- The base code: on every page of your website
- The event code: pages where you want to track conversions
